After a rather moan based previous post, I’ll do a nicer one. I just want to take the time to say that I do have a rather brilliant life. I have a gorgeous wife and daughter. Hannah is happy most of the time, healthy and best of all on the whole sleeps from 6:30pm – 6:30am with no middle of the night feeds or cries. I’m in a well paid job (for the area) that is very secure. Which in the current climate is worth it’s weight in gold. Sure the job can be boring at times, but that’s why I’m studying my degree, to do what I really want (teach). Plus there aren’t many jobs that get you 14 weeks holiday a year! It’s lovely to think that we will always get to spend the school holidays with Hannah.

So yes, despite the odd moan, I am a very lucky guy. My life isn’t perfect, but who’s is?

I am particularly perky today because I have no real work to do! Sitting here relaxing with a hot chocolate. Hopefully I won’t get too many interruption and I can get lots of degree work done!

Training day but nothing officially to do. Nobody to check I’m even here!

Well I really should get on with things!

So I have tidying to do which will be done by lunch. Then I should really do some OU work. As per usual, have done none at all during the holidays.

Overall pleased with the holidays (despite horrible man-flu for a week) but ready to go back to work. Cabin fever was setting in and that’s no good for anyone in the house. I know I get irritable and grumpy. The downside to having such a small and open plan house, and no friends locally. I can count on one hand the number of hours I’ve been apart from wife, child and dog for the past two weeks. Love them to bits but I do enjoy being on my own more than most I think.

I’ve found a new WP theme I like, but can’t remember my FTP details. Unfortunately stupid work network blocks access to the website CPanel so I can’t check it till I get home either.
